Big Lake Kollective is a group of people with a shared dream of building a playground for performance and collaboration. Perched on the shores of Lake Ontario, in Wellington, Prince Edward County—with its flourishing wineries and vibrant artistic community—Big Lake’s inspiring location stands to be a creative nexus in the heart of Canada’s largest economic and cultural corridor: the Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal region.

Inspired by the World Water Week symposium in Stockholm, Sweden, Big Lake Kollective and partnering groups in the community unite over seven days as the village of Wellington transforms into a canvas celebrating the element that connects us all!

Big Lake Kollective presents a series of concerts at The Wellington United Church that will include some of Canada’s premiere artists and ensembles, including the COC Ensemble Studio, COC Music Director, Johannes Debus and Festival Players Artistic Director, Graham Abbey. Conservation groups, local businesses and individuals will offer free events, exhibits, film screenings, and hands-on activities taking place at The Midtown, The Drake Devonshire, The Wellington Library, The Wellington Heritage Museum, The Festival Players Studio Theatre and places in between.
